Ask ten high-ticket closers what they use to run their day and you'll get ten slightly different stacks. But the shape is the same. Here's what shows up over and over inside the top 10% we've placed.
The tools
Video and recording
- Zoom — still the default for booked calls
- Fathom or Fireflies — auto-transcribes calls for review
- Loom — for outreach and follow-up video messages
CRM and pipeline
- HubSpot Free or Pipedrive — most solo closers don't need more than this
- GoHighLevel — common inside agency and coaching companies
Communication
- Slack — team ops
- iMessage / WhatsApp — prospect follow-up (with permission, and inside a CRM)
- Google Voice — a dedicated line for prospect texts
Payment
- Stripe — for taking deposits and full payments on the call
- PayPal — as a backup for international deals
The daily routine
The 90-minute pre-call block is what separates the top closers from the rest. What's in it:
- 20 min — review the day's booked calls and intake forms
- 20 min — pipeline follow-up (voice notes, texts, emails)
- 20 min — mock reps or reviewing yesterday's calls
- 30 min — sales education (a book, a podcast, a course module)
Every day. Non-negotiable.
The scripts
Every top closer eventually stops using scripts and starts using frameworks. The difference:
- A script tells you what to say
- A framework tells you what the call is trying to achieve at each stage
Frameworks we teach inside Academy include:
- Discovery: current state → past efforts → cost of inaction → vision
- Objection: acknowledge → clarify → reframe → check-in
- Close: recap → offer → payment mechanics → confirmation
The mindset
The single trait we see in every top closer we've worked with: detachment from the outcome of the individual call. Not indifference — detachment. They care about the prospect, they run the process, and they let the close happen or not happen without emotion.
You cannot fake this. It comes from running enough reps that no single call is a big deal.
