Selling cheese on a market stall to closing high-ticket deals from Romania
Alvin Duttoo had already done car sales and door-to-door when he hit rock bottom — working a market stall by day and doing deliveries at night. Today he averages $12–15k a month, lives in Romania, and took his wife out of work.
Placed on a remote marketing offer; now averaging $12–15k USD a month with a $25k best month.
Where Alvin started
Alvin wasn't new to selling. Car sales. Door-to-door. He'd done the rounds.
Then it all fell apart.
"I hit rock bottom."
By day he was working a market stall selling cheese. At night he was doing deliveries. In between, touting punting tours in Cambridge city centre.
Sales was the one skill he knew he could keep building. The problem was the setting.
How he found remote sales
He was looking at his options again, reached out, and got told about remote high-ticket sales.
We put him on a marketing offer.
"Lots to learn, but the opportunities were much greater than what I've experienced before — especially being able to work from home."
He'll tell you himself: he is not tech savvy. He'd tried digital selling before and failed at it repeatedly. What he had was the willingness to learn the process properly and let someone break it down for him.
The ego problem
This is the part of Alvin's interview worth replaying.
"I came in with a little bit of an ego. I came in thinking that I knew it all."
Experienced salespeople are often the slowest to start, because remote high-ticket doesn't behave like a forecourt or a doorstep. Different pace. Different objections. Different close.
Once he dropped the ego and ran the framework as taught, it moved fast.
The numbers
- $12,000–$15,000 USD a month on average
- Best single month around $25,000 USD
- Money going into savings, investments, and property viewings
- Supporting his family — and travel, which was always the goal
What changed outside the bank account
He left the UK. He lives in Romania now, about a year and a half in.
He got married — something he says he didn't think he'd be doing at that point in his life.
His wife doesn't work anymore.
And yes, there's a cat.
"It gave me plenty of opportunities for me to really explore life as well."
His advice
"Stop letting your ego stop you from taking opportunities that can give you what you want."
He bet on his ability to learn the right skill and apply it.
"You are one opportunity away from being able to live the life that you've always really dreamt of."
Individual results vary and depend on effort, the company you join, and market conditions. No income or employment guarantees are made.
