Started at 17, now closing part-time from the Canary Islands

Elia joined us at 17 with no work history at all. Three years later he works four hours a day, five days a week, and runs his life from Lisbon, Bangkok and the Canary Islands.

Outcome

Trained and placed at 17; now closing part-time (4 hrs/day) while living and travelling abroad.

Where Elia started

Elia was 17 and still in high school in Italy. This was not his first sales job — it was his first job, full stop.

American friends had told him remote sales was worth a look because so much of it comes down to confidence and how you carry yourself.

We ran the training, he started on setting, then switched to closing.

Inside a few months he was earning more than his teachers. He left school.

What the work actually looks like

Three years in, Elia deliberately runs a part-time schedule:

  • Four hours a day, five days a week
  • Around $3,000 USD a month on average
  • Best month roughly $3.5k–$4k — higher than when he worked full time
  • Effective rate went from about $15/hour at the start to $40–50/hour now
  • Saves at least $1,000 a month, every month

He's lived in Lisbon for two months, spent time in Danang and Bangkok, and recorded this interview from the Canary Islands.

"People in LA or New York earning 15k a month are probably not living as good as I am."

The distinction he wants you to make

Elia's biggest point in the interview isn't about money. It's about deciding what you actually want before you pick a company.

Live to work — go hard, take the highest-ticket offer you can get, earn big.

Work to live — take a lighter schedule, keep the location freedom, bank the difference.

Both are available in this industry. Picking the wrong one is how people end up in a 12-hour-a-day job they never wanted.

His advice to beginners

"It's going to suck at the beginning. It's dealing with people and getting rejected."

And the thing he says kills more sales careers than lack of talent: victim mentality.

"'It's not my fault, this guy didn't have money.' It's never their fault. That's the surefire way to never make it."

Individual results vary and depend on effort, the company you join, and market conditions. No income or employment guarantees are made.
